Group Class Descriptions

Group Fitness Classes are FREE to eligible patrons. Please note, Group Fitness Classes are subject to change. For up-to-date information regarding classes please contact the Mainside Fitness Center front desk at 559-998-4883

H.I.I.T.
Short burst of high intensity work to get the heart pounding. A full-body workout that you can get done over your lunch break.

StrengthA class designed for those who want to learn the principles of strength training, this class will teach you how to use the weight room, and how to plan workouts for yourself. So come on out, and build your gym confidence!

Body Bootcamp
Medium to high intensity body weight exercises combined with interval and strength training. This is a high calorie burning class and is designed to push your personal to the max.  All fitness levels welcome!

Family Fitness
Total body conditioning is the goal!  Strength and cardio drills using a variety of exercises and weight training equipment.  Children are welcome under parental touch supervision.  This is not your typical mommy and me class.  **Strollers and children are optional**

Zumba®
A Latin inspired aerobic dance workout.  Easy to follow choreography incorporate salsa, merengue, hip-hop, soca, samba, and mambo. Join the party, and burn some calories!

Battle Stations
Get ready to man your BATTLE STATIONS in a heart pounding, high intensity workout!  Work your way through multiple stations, testing your strength and endurance to complete your workout mission.  Failure is not an option.  Do you have what it takes?!

AquaFit
Come on out to the lap pool and get those bodies movies with less impact on the joints! This class is a combo of water strength movements, as well as cardio.

NOFFS
A class for our Active Duty population, both on and off FEP.  Come and experience the new NOFFS programming, and build that fitness base.  **CFLs and ACFLs, this is a great opportunity for you to come learn from a NOFFS programmer to help you build the best command PTs.**

YOGA
Iyengar - Come and exercise your brain as well as your body. This practice requires your full attention to the very detailed instructions for proper body alignment. Engage muscles with body weight for several breaths. Gain better posture, confidence, flexibility, balance and muscle toning. 

Vinyasa - A great outlet for stress Come and let out stress with a powerful and challenging flow of linked yoga poses together with breathing exercises. Build your strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. 

Restorative - Come and release tension and anxiety with a very slow pace following a sequence of relaxing poses and gentle stretching. Increase flexibility, self care skills, and patience.
