Mainside Fitness Center

The main side Fitness Center is 66,000 square feet of contemporary designed spaces fully equipped with a full range of cardio equipment and free weights.  The facility aslo boasts two indoor basketball courts, three racquetball courts, a 50 meter lap pool, a conference room and full service locker rooms.  The staff provides a comprehensive fitness program and coordinates a wide range of sporting activities to include intramural, Captain's Cup and open league competitions for both team and individual sports.  The Fitness facility also has four outdoor tennis courts, two outdoor basketball courts, a 2.5 mile running trail, a synthetic multi-purpose field with a 1/4 mile track, as well as a synthetic and dirt softball field(s).

24/7 Access NOW AVAILABLE for eligible patrons!

The Mainside Fitness Center is now offering 24/7 access for eligible patrons* (Active Duty, Dependents**, Reservists, Retirees, and DoD Civilians).   In order to gain access to the facility during unstaffed hours, a user agreement and PARFQ*** must be on file and approved by the Facility Manager (these can be found under ‘downloads’, training on facility guidelines conducted by one of the members of the fitness center staff completed, as well as household and DoD ID information entered into our RecTrac system. Those not granted access (Contractors, VA Card Holders, and guests) will have access to the facility during normal staffed hours.

During Unstaffed Hours, patrons will be expected to adhere to the following guidelines.  Any deviation from these guidelines will result in loss of privilege to the facility during unstaffed hours:

1.Orientation and user agreement must be on file PRIOR to using the facility.
2.Sharing of door access code is prohibited.
3.Piggybacking and holding/propping the door open is prohibited.
4.All safety and security procedures ensuring the door securely closes behind you at entry are required.
5.Upon entry, check in on the iPad and sign log located on front counter.
6.Facility area or equipment restricted or identified as Out of Order are off limits.
7.All equipment must remain INSIDE the facility, and within their specified areas of use.
8.All equipment and machinery must be used solely for its intended use.
9.All equipment must be cleaned after use.
10.Horseplay or other conduct that may jeopardize safety are prohibited.  Examples include but are not limited to hanging from basketball rims/nets, hand to hand sports, wrestling, etc.
11.Violations of any Navy or installation policies will not be tolerated. All additional posted facility rules (to include dress code), regulations, and standard operating procedures will be adhered to.

*Eligible patrons include Active Duty and their Dependents aged 10 and over, Reservists, Retirees, and DoD Civilians.
**Dependents under 10 years of age will NOT be permitted.  Dependents aged 10 to 17 will only be granted access to the facility under DIRECT supervision of a parent/guardian.
***PARFQ must be completed in total.  Any “yes” response that requires a PCM clearance must have that clearance prior to approval by Facility Manager.
